A week leading into February 3rd 2021 seemed to have gone in an instant. The one year wait to open the door seemed to have been totally worth it. All the anxiety, stress of waiting to open the door disappeared and was replaced by the anxiety and stress of running a new restaurant all during the middle of an ongoing pandemic.
We were very lucky to have very supportive customers, most of whom turned into loyal customers turning up daily to say and grab a meal.
Straight after 1 week of opening we faced a one week lockdown. Which gave us a bit of time to fine tune some of our operations. You know, the journey of a family running their first restaurant together…
And just as our customers turned into friends and our food truck private functions were coming back we were hit by lockdowns one after the other.
So back to square one. We are looking forward to being back and staying strong in spirit.
